this thread is for when you have to say something to get it out of the system, whether it is happy or sad.
my reason for stating the thread is that on occasion some threads do tend to get a little heated here, and maybe this thread will enable us to reflect on the important fact, we are real people and not just dots on a computer screen.. i would love to start the thread with a bang, but nothing of particular interest has happened, only i do hope the weather improves as the climate i live in has been sadly chilly for the time of year, (if you get the deeper meaning).

All good here: Healthy thus far, job/money enough to pay bills, have fun and put aside a bit for a rainy day, beloved family members alive and well. Overall, doing well.
Regarding JW stuff, in one ear out the other. Once the feelings of obligation and guilt disappear thanks to knowing TTATT, it is all good.

i don't want anyone to take this the wrong way but i use to at least feel smart as a jw.
when i went to thursday night meetings, i at least felt like i was a student, that i was learning how to speak publicly, i could prepare my own comments, i could answer points that i learned from the weekly bible reading.
i even feel like an "idiot" studying for the meetings.
It is soooo liberating knowing TTATT. Actually, makes me feel even smarter now.
It is not all lost as I still share many beliefs with the Org, plus the personality style and niceness of my circle of friends and family makes it all worth the small time sacrifice.
It is overall an okay bunch.

No. They are repetitious, robotic, fake, boring/sleep-inducing. Such a drag... Especially the CLAM one. Such a waste of time for the most part.

What saves me is the little conversations/greetings/interactions with friends and family before and after such disingenuous occasions.
